Разница огромная. В первом случае нейросеть сама додумывает почти всё: образ, свет, фон, стиль, качество. Во втором случае вы управляете результатом как арт-директор: задаёте визуальный язык, композицию, настроение и технические детали

Современные генераторы изображений работают по-разному. Например, OpenAI Images поддерживает генерацию и редактирование изображений по текстовым промптам, а в conversational workflow можно итеративно уточнять изображение в несколько шагов

OpenAI Images хорошо подходят для:

• редактирования существующих фото;

• сохранения идентичности при корректных референсах;

• рекламных изображений;

• персональных фотосессий;

• изображений с текстом;

• пошагового уточнения результата.

OpenAI API поддерживает генерацию изображений с нуля и редактирование существующих изображений. Responses API подходит для conversational image workflows, когда нужно итеративно уточнять картинку, а Image API — когда нужен один конкретный результат из одного промпта
